"Musician of the highest caliber." ---Jack Marvin
"Impressive performances of his own works, a 'Fantasia' that lasted about ten minutes and a shorter tone picutre, 'Enchanted Land.'...the latter began with gripping atmospheric harmonies so expressive of uncanny aspects of New Mexico's landscape...the Fantasia, in strong contrast, ranged through several themes and moods in a pleasing cycle of variations and repetitions that created wide musical spaces.... Salazar mesmerized the audience through his poetic intensities and velocity." ---the Albuquerque Journal
"Incredible fluidity to his music as he traversed it." ---Bert Weschler, New York Daily News.
